Practicums and internships are taken to heart and MindFit. We aim to not only provide experience, but teach clinicians how they can confidently treat stigmatizing diagnoses such as PTSD. With this in mind, Interns are required to take Brainspotting Phase I training (approx. $400) in preparation to become significantly more confident in treating trauma, panic and other more intimidating type diagnoses.
Along with building a more confident clinician, interns will learn aspects of Internal Family Systems and “parts work” to use with clients that can improve performance and outcome. Interns will be taught how to measure and document outcomes and progress. They will be encouraged to connect with one of our licensed clinicians to formulate a group that can be co-led for 10 group hours. Our interns leave us (and some stay) knowing that they have the tools needed to make a significant difference in people’s lives.
