Private Practice Therapist for School Refusal Program
MindFit Counseling LLC is looking to hire a licensed eligible clinician to work both school based work in Arcadia, IN and private practice in Westfield, IN. Part time hours will be spent working in a School Refusal Grant program with Hamilton Heights Schools in Arcadia, IN. Part time would be in private practice in the office setting in Westfield.
We are looking for someone comfortable working with adolescents and adults. Ideally this person is interested in or has a specialty in one of the following: Play Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, ART or any other brain/body based modalities(not necessarily fully certified but working towards certification OR willing to get training after hire).
THIS IS A FULL TIME position. Full Time must be willing to bill a minimum of 22 billing hours per week. Candidates must be willing to average 22 clients per week to receive benefits. (This does not take long! Approx. 1 month)
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled.
- 7:30 am Friday Zoom call for Supervision with School Refusal Program
- Complete clinical documentation within 72 hours of date of service (recommended to be completed daily)
- Actively participate as a positive member of the clinical environment.
- Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
- Complete all recommended continuing education requirements
- Stay current with updated research and best practices.
- Participation in Networking Events as necessary to promote self, connect with other clinicians and elicit referrals.
- Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
- Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
- Maintain case files within electronic health record (EHR) that are up to date.
- Perform other duties as assigned (including but not limited to completion of Social Security/Disability forms, authorization and billing forms, phone calls, and participating in case consultation meetings).
- Minimum productivity rate of 22 billable hours per week.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals/families in crisis
- Skill in working with children varying from ages 5-12 as well as adolescents
- Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies
- Experience/Willingness to provide Telehealth sessions upon request
- Ability to provide necessary self-care
- Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinic staff
- Awareness of personal strengths and appropriate timing for referrals
Education and Experience:
- A masters degree in a mental health-related field
- License Eligible within the State of Indiana.
- Training/Credentialing (or working towards) in Play Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting or some other specialized modality. (Must be willing to take Phase I Brainspotting upon hire).
- Available on Friday mornings at 7:30 am for Supervision.
- Previous experience in home-based mental health, office-based counseling and/or school-based counseling protocol, and/or knowledge of EHR are desirable.
