EXPERIENCE

Allyson is a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, including eight years in clinical practice. She has worked in a variety of settings—private practice, inpatient care, and school-based environments—which allows her to meet clients with both clinical expertise and real-world understanding. While she specializes in working with teens and young adults, Allyson enjoys supporting clients across all stages of life.

Allyson has extensive experience helping clients navigate complex trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. She is a strong advocate and ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and has spent many years working closely with LGBTQIA+ youth. Creating an inclusive, affirming, and identity-sensitive space isn’t just a value for Allyson—it’s a priority.

Her therapeutic style is integrative, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Brainspotting, and Structural Family Therapy. Allyson is also currently pursuing her certification in sex and couples therapy through the Sexual Health Alliance, reflecting her commitment to ongoing education and to supporting clients in building healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Allyson believes therapy works best when it’s collaborative, personalized, and—while still professional—never cold or intimidating. Her goal is to help clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward in ways that feel authentic to them.
