EXPERIENCE

Amy has ten years of experience working with individuals from young children (ages 5 plus) to adults to address a variety of concerns such as anxiety, mood disorders, or behavioral concerns. She specializes in treating complex trauma, particularly sexual, religious, or family of origin traumas. Amy actively works to create a space that is feminist, anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirming, and weight neutral.

She takes a collaborative approach to treatment, utilizing a number of evidence-based treatment modalities including EMDR, play therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She offers a compassionate and affirming space where individuals can explore their current internal landscape, the impact of their past experiences, and their goals for the future. When working with children and adolescents, Amy often involves the parents to better support the child outside of the therapy room.
