Ashley Weeks CMCH - Intern

Ashley has joined the MindFit team as a therapist intern as she is pursuing her license in clinical mental health counseling. Ashley joins us as a certified 6th grade-12th grade English language- arts teacher, and received her undergraduate degree at The University of Houston. She is currently completing her graduate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

Ashley believes that every person deserves to be heard. She is passionate about creating a warm, safe environment where clients feel welcome to explore their mental health in peace. She believes that healing comes from listening to one's body. She will meet you where you are and provide resources to help her clients achieve their goals.

She believes that holding space for individuals to explore their identity is paramount to the therapeutic relationship. Ashley will incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Brainspotting (BSP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) depending on the needs of each individual. She is LGBTQ/Queer affirming and is dedicated to walking alongside clients on their mental health journey.
