Destiny is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her degree through Indiana State University and has experience working in community mental health, intensive inpatient, and school-based services. She is passionate towards creating a safe, inclusive, and empathetic space to build a foundational therapeutic relationship with each client. Destiny primarily works with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life adjustments, familial concerns, and trauma. She approaches each client with a person-centered relational view to empower clients to explore their authentic feelings and self-identity, while also utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to encourage growth. When working with children, she often involves caregivers to be included in treatment to help support the child outside of therapy.
