MindFit Counseling

Heather Leslie is a compassionate therapist intern at MindFit Counseling with a strong academic foundation in psychology and spiritual care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2020) and Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Counseling (2021) from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently pursuing her second Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (expected 2027) to obtain licensure.

Heather is deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals during life’s most challenging moments. She is committed to helping clients overcome barriers to healing, growth, and acceptance, empowering them to become the best version of themselves as they define it.

Her clinical strengths include supporting clients through concerns related to faith, spirituality, boundaries, grief and loss, depression, life transitions, career challenges, and emotions such as fear, anger, and anxiety. Heather creates a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, warmth, and trust. Her approach balances gentle support with thoughtful challenge, helping clients feel both understood and motivated toward growth. She strives to ensure that every client feels safe, respected, and free from judgment.

Heather integrates a variety of evidence-based and holistic approaches tailored to each individual, including Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Brain spotting (BSP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

She is dedicated to supporting clients throughout their healing and transformation journey, with the goal that each session leaves them feeling refreshed, empowered, and hopeful.
