Kris possesses extensive experience in addressing a diverse range of life challenges, including adoption and foster care, identity formation, relationships, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, body image and self-esteem concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and life transitions. Her therapeutic approach primarily incorporates emerging neuropsychological techniques.
Kris is certified in EMDR and Brainspotting and has integrated polyvagal theory and parts work into her practice. She creates a supportive and understanding environment for clients to express their thoughts and feelings. Kris is trained in play therapy, Theraplay® (Level One and MIM), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).
Kris holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University, obtained in 2015. She is licensed to practice clinical social work in Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Kris specializes in providing treatment to adults, adolescents, and children.
